Think Impact is one of Merri Merri Wayi partners and their Thiknin Collective Impact was used as a framework for our community consultation and reports.

The Merri Merri Wayi Community Day event took place on Saturday 20 April 2024. It connects communities to celebrate and to help shape planning to nurture a thriving and healthy ecosystem in a thriving and healthy community.

The call for a Merri Creek & Surrounds Visioning exercise arose amongst a range of community organisations and community members, who came together following the attack on a woman along the creek in East Coburg in late 2019. The report outlines the background to the initiative, insights from a series of community consultations, and their visions and priorities.

The fourth Merri Merri Wayi visioning workshop built on ongoing conversations to deepen shared understanding and commitment to the health of Merri Creek. Held with community members and partners, the session explored key themes of connection, culture and care, continuing to shape a collective vision led by First Nations voices.

On 24 March 2022, a series of collective impact conversations took place to bring community, partners and stakeholders together around a shared vision for Merri Merri Wayi. These discussions created space to listen, reflect and imagine how deeper collaboration can support healing, connection and a future shaped by First Nations leadership along the Merri Creek.

On 24 March 2022, an online conversation was held for people to share their hopes, thoughts and ideas for the Merri Creek so community collaborations can flourish up, around and down a healthy and safe waterway. This is the recording of that conversation.

In 2021, a visioning exercise brought together voices from across the Merri Creek catchment to imagine bold and shared possibilities for the future. Facilitated by CERES and Think Impact, the process captured values, hopes and priorities that can guide collective action to care for Country and strengthen connection across the region.

In November 2020, a collaborative report was developed to listen deeply to community voices and better understand how to support safety, belonging and inclusion along Merri Creek. This report brings together diverse experiences and insights, offering practical ideas and reflections to help shape a waterway where all people feel welcome, respected and safe.
